Evangelist Diana Asamoah respond to Social media users who accused her of stealing pentecost songs.
Some social media users and music lovers have taken a swipe at renowned gospel songstress, Evangelist Diana Asamoah.
According to them, the award-winning gospel act had copied song from the Church of Pentecost without giving credit. They took to popular social media platform Facebook to rant about what they considered ‘stealing’ on the part of the singer.
The users went on to claim that the popular singer waited until the Church released a song and then she would take a cue from it. Among other things, they alleged that she also did not give credit to the church where due.However, in a quick rebuttal, the, ‘Pentecost Sore Ndwom’ singer has set records straight and has revealed that credit was duly given to whoever it was due.She added that none of her songs were ‘stolen’ as was claimed and added that the right channels were used in the making and recording of her songs. She continued by saying that she acknowledged them on the cover of a CD
This is coming shortly after news went viral that the Evangelist was about to release her song titled Tetelestai. The song forms part of a highly spirit-filled worship medley which is part of a 6-track album. According to the singer, the inspiration for the song came after she had waited on God. The album Tetelestai has other powerful songs on it such as ‘Onyame Tumfo’, ‘Odo Pa’, ‘Wa wo Akoaa’ and ‘Mo mmo no ose’.
Evangelist Diana Asamoah has over the years, wowed music lovers with her God-given talent and unique voice. She is the convener of the popular end of year gospel concert which has been duly dubbed, ‘Abba Father’. The much-anticipated gospel rock show has been staged without fail for the past two years since its inception in 2017.
